Marks and Spencer have launched a new collection of vegan wines and have promised to go fully vegan by 2022 to meet demands for vegan wine.
Fed up of reading labels to check if your favourite wine is vegan? M&S will have you covered by 2022. The high-end British retailer has made a pledge that all its wines will be vegan by next year – chin-chin!
M&S has long been a proponent of sustainability, and this pledge fits in with the retailer’s ambitions. In fact, many of the company’s wineries are taking part in carbon offsetting schemes, water management programmes and organic and biodynamic farming.
All M&S wines being vegan-friendly by 2022 will mean that consumers can focus on other factors such as dryness, origin and price when choosing a wine rather than being restricted to just one or two vegan options.
This news comes as M&S launches a new vegan wine range, named ‘Found’. Found is an affordable new range priced between £7-10, which invites wine lovers to discover new varieties, regions and styles. It champions rare grapes; like the Romanian Fetească Regală, highlights familiar grapes from unusual places such as the Argentinian Cabernet Franc, and even features a UK first; a single varietal Nerello Cappuccio.
There is a mix of rosé, reds and whites in the new range, so whatever your tipple of choice is, you’ll be able to ‘find’ something to your liking.
Speaking in a statement sent to Vegan Food and Living, winemaker Sue Daniels explains: “With this new range, we’ve been able to dig deep and unearth some real wine rarities, and we’re really excited to share these. We hope that our customers will indulge in some much-needed armchair escapism with ‘Found’ and discover new favourites along the way. There is a world of different options out there and we’ve selected some of the best!”
The new range consists of:
- Vinho Verde Rosé 2020, £7
- Nerello Cappuccio 2019, £7
- Mazuelo 2019, £8.50
- País 2019, £9
- Xinomavro & Mandilaria 2019, £9.50
- Cabernet Franc 2019, £10

The Found vegan wine range will be launching into M&S stores this week to help you travel with your wine glass to some ‘dreamy destinations’.
